HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Client sends us the document that they want to translate by email, indicating the desired target language as well as the service required (translation, proof reading, sworn translation, formatting, etc).

The Project Manager (PM) analyses the document received and immediately afterwards prepares a quote based on the size of the document and the service requested.

The PM sends the quote to the client for approval.

Once the quote is approved, the PM launches the translation project indicating an estimated delivery date.

WHAT DOES THE TRANSLATION/DESKTOP PUBLISHING PROCESS CONSIST OF?

Job in: PM receives files from Client for translation, evaluates the new project, and sends corresponding quote
DTP Prep: DTPer prepares files for translation
TM analysis: files are analyzed against TMs if any
TR: files are translated
RV: files are reviewed
Clean up: files are cleaned up
DTP Round1: DTPer gives format to the file matching the source file
PR: translator performs proofreading paying attention to layout issues and grammar errors, character corruptions, etc.
DTP Round2: DTPer implements PR comments
PR2: Translator checks if all comments from PR are correctly implemented
DTP Round3: DTPer implements last changes if any from PR2
Sign off: PM performs check on final files before preparing for delivery
Ship Prep: DTPer prepares files for delivery (formatted files, fonts, links)
Shipped: final files are delivered
Crev 1: In case of in-country reviewers from Client, files are reviewed by these and sent back for implementation
Lang Impl 1: comments from in-country reviewers are reviewed and added by our translator
DTP Rev 1: DTPer implements Lang Impl changes
REV 1 Check: translator make sure that all in-country reviewers’ changes are applied
Crev 2: In-country reviewers from Client check if all comments from Crev 1 are correctly implemented, if any
Lang Impl 2: comments from Crev 2 if any are reviewed and added by our translator
DTP Rev 2: DTPer implements Lang Impl 2 changes, if any
REV 2 Check: translator make sure that all in-country reviewers’ changes are applied
Ship Prep 2: DTPer prepares files for delivery (formatted files, fonts, links)
Shipped 2: final files are delivered
